About The Horn President Zach HalversonZach Halverson is an 19 year old graduate of White Bear Lake Area High School in Minnesota. Halverson started his media career at the age of 12 as a volunteer at On Location TV19, a local cable access station serving White Bear Lake, Minnesota and surrounding areas.
Starting out as a cameraman, Halverson used his graphic design talents to redesign the digital on-screen graphics package for the station and branded the sports division of On Location TV19 as "TV19 Sports". Creating, designing, and updating the Facebook page for TV19 Sports are all self-given responsibilities that helped Halverson win the 2011 On Location TV19 Volunteer of the Year Award in October 2011. The list of self-given responsibilities grew after he was given the On-Air talent position at TV19 Sports. Halverson started on his duties of announcing high school sporting events and writing, producing, then hosting a bi-weekly LIVE sports highlight show "Sports Path", but then added some "firsts" for the station. In December 2011, Halverson wrote, produced, designed graphics, and then hosted the station's first ever 30-minute pregame show LIVE from Aldrich Arena in Maplewood, MN before a high school hockey game between the White Bear Lake Bears and the Hill-Murray Pioneers. The Hill-Murray Pioneers would end up getting to the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament in March 2012, where Zach Halverson reported LIVE from the Xcel Energy Center in the station's first ever LIVE shot. Halverson has also done work for many websites. In March 2008 Halverson became apart of the Minnesota Hockey News which became the Overtime Sports Network. Halverson produced the OTSN live audio stream of the Minnesota State High School Hockey tournament in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 and created the Facebook like page for the Minnesota Hockey Hub. Halverson's work has also been seen on FOX Preps, MSBN, and myFOX9.com. Halverson is currently a Sports Producer at AM 1450/FM 103.3 KNSI in St. Cloud. Events that Zach Halverson has covered:
